FBM KLCI FuturesTrading

 

Introduced in December 1995, the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index Futures contract was the first financial derivative product launched in Malaysia. As an instrument for managing volatility on the local stock market, the KLCI futures contracts have attracted both foreign and local institutional as well as non-institutional investors for hedging, arbitraging and speculating purposes. The Index is now succeeded by the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Composite Index. Total volume traded over the last 5 years were:
